a personalized experience
Based on your child’s unique circumstances, we will cater every aspect of their visit to keep them feeling relaxed and comfortable. Whether that means providing alternative treatments, adjusting sounds and lighting, or just allowing them to explore and become accustomed to the office at their own pace, we’ll make sure your kiddo gets the care they need.
improved oral health
Many disabilities have an effect on a child’s oral health, but when you bring them to see a dentist that they feel comfortable with, it gives them the chance to achieve and maintain a healthy smile.
Why Choose a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist?
Why Choose a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist?
To become Board Certified by the ABPD (American Board of Pediatric Dentistry), dentists must complete a rigorous 2-part examination process after fulfilling a board-approved 2 to 3 year residency after completing dental school. The first part is a written board examination, the Qualifying Exam (QE), which a dentist must pass to become board-eligible. The second part of the certification process, the in-person Oral Clinical Exam (OCE), is completed a year later. This process is designed to ensure the pediatric dental specialist possesses the knowledge, skills, problem-solving abilities, and experience necessary to provide quality care to treat the pediatric population. The ABPD certifies candidates based on standards of excellence that lead to high quality oral health care for infants, children, adolescents, and patients with special health care needs. They must also maintain their certification with continued education and periodic exams to show they are keeping up with the latest advances in techniques and technologies, showing their dedication to their patients.
